BM Scotland Looks at More SNP Failings Across September.

BM SCOTLAND LOOKS AT MORE SNP FAILINGS ACROSS SEPTEMBER

SNP Manifesto Pledge on Creating an Energy Company for Scotland That Never Happened

But the SNP Government still spent over £500,000 of taxpayer's money on the development that never came into being. The SNP ploughed money into 'expert' think tanks, economic consultants and hours of preparing a 'business plan'.

The big idea was first floated by the SNP in 2017 when it pledged to have a 'State Owned' not-for-profit energy provider in Scotland, operating by autumn 2021.

A big idea that never got off the ground as money was spent on developing the scale and scope of the venture but without looking at world markets or considering how such a company would be funded, would be able to compete with existing providers and could take over or buy out the existing energy supply network.

Things have changed, some smaller energy suppliers in the UK have gone out of business, most recently and energy supply company that was based in Edinburgh.

The business planning, building the business case, expert opinions a total spend of over £519,000, wasted on a project that never happened.

This was exposed by a Freedom of Information request, otherwise the SNP would have kept this situation hidden from Scottish voters..

SNP Slammed over Scotland's Record Drug Deaths

Drug and alcohol related deaths in Scotland are 3.7 times higher than the rest of the UK put together. All on Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP's watch.

STIRLING

In the top ten of the ugliest cities in the UK - Stirling came 7th out of the ten.

What is going wrong?

It is pretty damning when a historic centre such as Stirling is ranked amongst some of the worst cities in the UK. Especially when it falls in with some of the ugliest urban centres in England.

What would William Wallace make of it?

Former SNP MP Gets Community Service Order for Breaking Covid Rules - A Taste of Their Own Medicine.

Former SNP Member of Parliament Gets Community Pay-Back Order

A Taste of Their Own Medicine

During the Covid/Lockdown crisis, the SNP and its MP's and MSP's were very keen to impose and enforce the draconian freedom restriction measures across Scotland. Remember?

Then in September 2020 there was the classic SNP elitist example of 'Rules for Thee but Not for Me!' when Margaret Ferrier, the SNP Member of Parliament for Rutherglen and Hamilton West, decided to break all her party's rules by travelling freely even though she had 'tested positive' for Covid-19. According to subsequent investigations the errant SNP politician had ignored all the rules she and her party were advocating; she visited several locations in her constituency, went to a beauty salon and various shops, travelled down to London by train, took her place in the House of Commons and made a speech, then having had her test results for Covid confirmed, she decided to catch a train back to Glasgow because she did not want to have to spend two weeks isolated in a London hotel. Once again 'Rules for Thee but Not for Me'.

Finally under a barrage of exposure in October 2020, Ferrier reported herself to the police and to the parliamentary commissioner for standards, and apologised for her conduct.

Last month (August 2022) Margaret Ferrier stood before Glasgow Sheriff court and admitted that by her conduct she had, "exposed the public to the risk of infection, illness and death." No doubt some BM Scotland readers will consider that last part a bit over the top, but at least Margaret Ferrier MP  has been held to account under rules she helped to impose. She has been ordered by the court to undertake a 270 hour community pay-back order - that is a lot of litter picking and graffiti scrubbing.

Of course Margaret Ferrier is no longer representing the SNP and has been sitting as an Independent for months now. So permanently out of favour with the SNP leadership now that First Minister Sturgeon declared Ferrier's conduct as "dangerous and indefensible". And of course did not reflect the standards expected of an SNP politician. Margaret Ferrier has refused all calls to stand down as a Member of Parliament and stubbornly hangs on to her seat in the House of Commons, a clear case of 'Do as we say, not as we do'.

GLASGOW - Marxist Parade Halted and Dispersed in the 'Interests of Public Safety.

 GLASGOW

Marxist and Irish Republican Parade Thwarted

September 10th 2022

The Glasgow Divisional Commander of Police Scotland halted the planned parade in the 'interests of public order and public safety'. The opposition to such overt displays of communist and Irish Republican militancy by pan-Nationalist demonstrators and Scottish Loyalists in previous years forced Police Scotland into a re-think and the parade was cancelled. No doubt the police considered that such a parade would inflame the Loyalists especially as the weekend has been marked by patriots and Loyalists as a time to honour the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

A motley collection of Irish Republicans from Cairde na hEireann. various Communist sub-groups, anti-Fa and anarchists were planning to parade down Crown Street to stage a rally at the La Pasionaria Statue at Custom House Quay along the Clyde Walkway. (We bet that is one statue that BLM won't want taking down!)

Pictured above is the Pasionaria Statue on Clydeside that the Left get so giddy about

The excuse for this public display of militant Marxist revolutionary solidarity was supposed to be to honour the memory of the International Brigades. That is those Marxist and socialist militants who went to Spain in the mid-1930's to fight in the Spanish Civil War against the nationalist forces of General Franco.

Pictured above a screen grab off the internet as Police Scotland block the route of the planned parade, initial police reports claim two arrests on Crown Street for public order offences, but it is unclear who and which side of politics those arrests came from.

On the SNP front

Meanwhile on the Economy front - the Genius Strategy of the SNP is to Butress Scotland Against Rising Energy Bills by Spending Money the SNP Government Does Not Have !

No doubt the First Minister and her 'economic advisers' have been burning the midnight oil at Bute House as they conjure up a new SNP fantasy as to how they can save Scotland from bankruptcy this coming winter.

Somehow the SNP plan to offer a financial buffer to Scots against the rising cost of energy bills, but have already admitted that the funds to do so do not exist. So where is the money going to come from?
