HOGMANAY AND NO LET UP BY THE SNP. Plus the Scottish Government are now down on motorists

HOGMANAY AND NO LET UP BY THE SNP

Plus the Scottish Government are now down on motorists.

SNP policy together with the Scottish Greens - private cars  20% reduction from 2025!

This is a crazy policy and it penalises all those Scots who live outside the cities of the Central Belt or the East Coast. What about all those Scottish motorists in the Highlands and islands?

Does that also mean a 20% reduction on non-electric vehicles entering Scotland?

Penalise private cars and motorhomes that use petrol or diesel and that will kill tourism in Scotland.

STURGEON STILL INSISTS THAT THE SNP ARE GOING TO PUSH FOR INDYTWO IN 2023

Meanwhile in a complete departure from reality First Minister Nicola Sturgeon in her Hogmanay address to the Scottish nation persists in her fantasy of IndyTwo.

Sturgeon insists that Scottish Independence remains a possibility even though an opinion poll this week shows that support amongst Scottish voters for Independence has dropped to about 30%.

A  majority of Scots do not support the SNP campaign for INDYTWO.

AND ON THE ECONOMIC FRONT - SNP MISMANAGEMENT CONTINUES...

The Scottish government has successfully wasted hundreds of thousands of pounds of tax-payers money on unoccupied hotel rooms and other accommodation for refugees and asylum-seekers. There were grand gestures made at Holyrood as the SNP tried to out do the Westminster government on providing for refugees from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Hong Kong and elsewhere, but much of the accommodation has remained paid for but empty.

The bill for hotels is set to reach a staggering £20 million and this includes figures for the period of October to November 2022 where £54, 270 has been wasted on unused accommodation.

Meanwhile the Scottish population is being battered by the financial crisis.

In her Hogmanay address First Minister Sturgeon continues to claim that her government will be able to support the most vulnerable in Scotland, counter child-poverty and re-build the NHS in Scotland. But fails to say how and where the money will come from.

Meanwhile the SNP continues to push a 'Woke' agenda on education, gender and pro-EU.

HAVE POLICE SCOTLAND TAKEN LEAVE OF THEIR SENSES ?

Perverts and Child-molesters are no longer to be classed as 'Paedophiles' but are now to be termed as 'Minor-Attracted Persons'.

Police Scotland Chief Constable Iain Livingstone's annual review the Assessment of Policing Performance 2021/22, actually used the term 'minor-attracted persons' in the section on sex offences against children and child sexual exploitation.

This is 'Woke' policy gone mad - after this was reported in various Scottish newspapers yesterday, Police Scotland has been rapidly back-pedalling on the wording and claims that it takes sexual offences against children VERY seriously etc. etc. etc.

But the damage is done - the Chief Constable's report used that term in order to meet the 'Woke' standards of some European directive and so lost all credibility.

Plus the report stated that Police Scotland would seek to offer "support, treatment and guidance" to those arrested as 'minor attracted persons'.

British Movement Scotland stands by the policies set out by British Movement nationally where child-molesters, paedophiles and perverts would face the very harshest of punishments and for child-rapists and child-killers - execution.

Fetch the Rope!

ALL THE VERY BEST TO ALL READERS OF BM SCOTLAND  FOR HOGMANAY AND 2023

Hopefully 2023 will see a growing rejection of the SNP by the Scottish people, a firm move away from the Scottish Greens too and a nationwide rejection of all the 'Woke' policies and a grasp of common sense.

SCOTLAND needs to turn away from the political mainstream parties and to look towards organisations that reflect the hearts and souls of the Scottish people.

Let them embrace racial Nationalism and British National Socialism.

Are the Wheels Starting to Come Off the SNP Bandwagon for Nicola Sturgeon?

Are the Wheels Starting to Come Off the SNP Bandwagon for Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP at Holyrood?

There are some serious rumblings at Holyrood around SNP policy and SNP leadership plans for a future General Election. There are even rumblings about the suitability of Nicola Sturgeon continuing as SNP leader and First Minister. (What a blow to her enormous ego.)

Undermining the SNP position are questions about MONEY - there are still stories circulating about Police Scotland investigating the £600,000 of tax-payer's money siphoned off to fund the failed Supreme Court review into the legality of IndyTwo. Questions continue about the missing £600k.

Any chance of that refund to Scotland's tax-payers yet?

AND WHAT ABOUT THAT PERSONAL LOAN TO SNP COFFERS BY NICOLA STURGEON'S HUSBAND?

Yes, according to recent media reports Peter Murrell made a cash loan to SNP party funds of a cool £107.620, officially recorded as "loans from executive management" in order to "assist cash-flow.

Amazing to think that the SNP as a political party needs assistance with cash-flow because, according to the 'Scottish Sun', the SNP , "rakes in £2.5 million a year from memberships" and receives hundreds of thousands more from the UK government. Official accounts show that in the year 2021, the SNP had a an income of £4.5 million as a political party and maintains a "modest office" in Edinburgh with just 20 staff to run the party administration, political campaigns etc.

What About the Scottish Budget SNP ?

At government level, the SNP has repeatedly demonstrated that it cannot professionally manage Scotland's economy without regularly running to the Westminster Treasury to ask for handouts.

Last week it was nice to see First Minister Sturgeon and her comrade John Swinney getting quizzed by the Speaker at Holyrood about their budget plans. After all the SNP are declaring that it will 'eradicate child poverty in Scotland'. A noble cause but how ?

The proposed weekly Scottish child payment scheme is planned by the SNP to be a unique piece of social welfare in Britain, a move to assist 400,000 children in Scotland with a £25 per week payment. All well and good, but that is going to cost the Scottish government £450 million per year. Where is that extra money going to come from Mr Swinney?

Question for the First Minister and the SNP at Holyrood - "What is a Woman?"

First Minister Sturgeon is very keen on pushing ahead with legal reforms that will set gender identity legislation in Scotland way apart from the laws and definitions of 'What is legally a Woman' and 'What is legally a Man' in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP are not only pushing hard to force early 'gender identity' and 'gender fluid' concepts into the Scottish education system but also into every level of Scottish society. Once a 'Trans' individual has acquired a GRC - Gender Recognition Certificate, they are either a legal 'Woman' or a legal 'Man'.

This image is currently being widely circulated in Scotland's mainstream media.

For some reason the greatest pressure appears to be coming from biological 'men' who want to identify as 'women'.

The former Scottish Labour leader John McConnell has publicly stated that he believes that the SNP 's new legislation on 'Trans woman' and 'Gender recognition' will lead to a flood of perverts and sex offenders from across the UK moving to live in Scotland.

This blogger was delighted to hear that the overweight, spluttering SNP leader at Westminster, Ian Blackford has been replaced as the voice of the SNP in the House of Commons.

Above: A suitably dour looking Ian Blackford on the BBC news.

Ian Blackford, Member of Parliament for Ross, Skye and Lochaber - forced to step down as leader of the SNP in the House of Commons by younger SNP activists and MP's.                       What a blow to this SNP blowhards ego.

Time for the SNP to Repay the Scottish tax-payers the £600,000 Squandered on a Hopeless IndyTwo Court Case.

Time for the SNP to Repay the Scottish Tax-payers the £600,000 it Squandered on the IndyTwo Supreme Court Case.

Come On Nicola - it is time to Divvy Up!

The SNP poured £600,000 into the IndyTwo campaign, most of it spent on the case presented to the Supreme Court. The SNP had stages heavy duty fund-raising towards this campaign in 2017 and 2019, but nothing like £600,000 was raised then.

Word is that the Scottish Tories are urging Police Scotland to get involved   according to mainstream media sources the IndyTwo campaign was run by the SNP as SNP policy but the SNP bank accounts held only £97,000 so where did the rest of that money come from?

And when are the SNP government going to pay it back?

And While they Are At It - What About the money spent on overseas trips to plead the SNP case for 'Scottish Independence- around the European Union and elsewhere?

Apparently the self-styled SNP 'foreign secretary of Scotland' Angus Robertson was pleading with overseas politicians to back the SNP Independence cause even going so far as to tell the Prime Minister of Iceland that the Scottish people were 'poor and oppressed' and 'robbed of their freedom' because Scotland was denied independence from the United Kingdom.

All the trips overseas to plead the SNP case for independence by Angus Robertson were paid for by the Scottish tax-payer, not directly funded by the SNP bank accounts.

Angus Robertson's official title is the SNP Cabinet Secretary for the Constitution, External Affairs and Culture, but he even refers to himself as the 'foreign secretary of Scotland' but at Holyrood he has been nicknamed "Air Miles Angus".

Does the SNP leadership have no shame?

Bathgate - the weekend of Saturday and Sunday November 26th and 27th 2022.

A White Nationalist Music Event Was Cancelled Under Massive Pressure From System Politicians, Police Scotland and Professional Anti-Racists.

A week of intense background pressure was launched by a London based anti-racist organisation, this is the current strategy by the extreme Left and involves in the Bathgate situation with compliant local politicians, especially in this case from the SNP, Scottish Labour and the Scottish Greens and Lib Dems. In addition they bombard local councils, licensing authorities, brewery companies, pub suppliers and compliant liberal journalists with telephone calls, emails and social media messages to prevent White Nationalist music events.

The background information is still filtering through as to all the details and representatives of British Movement Scotland were due to have been present at this totally legal event.

Supreme Court Knocks Back Indy Ref Two - So What Will the SNP Do Now ?

The Supreme Court has refused to ratify the SNP demands for a second Scottish Independence referendum (Indy Ref Two), so what will the SNP do now?

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon had publicly stated that the Scottish government would be holding the referendum in October 2023.

No doubt SNP  independence fanatics will stage high profile demonstrations to capture eager mainstream media coverage and will claim that their desire for an independent Scotland over rides all those Scots who want to remain in the Union as part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain.

Meanwhile the SNP mishandling of Scotland's economy, health service and public services continues

A TWO TIER HEALTH SYSTEM FOR SCOTLAND - ARE THEY SERIOUS?

Not content with running NHS Scotland into financial ruin, now those genius politicians of the SNP at Holyrood are suggesting that Scotland adopts a two tier health system. The suggestion is that a two tier system of access to health care would take pressure off the NHS by getting those who can afford to pay for treatment and prescriptions to do so, thereby putting much needed funds back into NHS Scotland.

So far this proposal is only in the discussion stage BUT - SNP Minister for Health Humza Yusaf considers the idea worthy of greater discussion and mapping out.

SNP Transgender Legislation

It seems that the SNP is falling out with itself over its 'Woke' and much media-hyped  Gender Recognition Act and its linked 'Gender Awareness training' courses.

So far only Ash Regan, formerly the SNP's Scottish Government Community Safety Minister has resigned over this legislation. However press interviews with Ash Regan indicate that she is unhappy with the versions of First Minister Sturgeon's understanding of the legislation and what it means.

Other members of the SNP government at Holyrood are unhappy with the whole 'Trans' and gender proposals and have refused to toe the party line and vote as instructed.  Someone should remind the SNP enforcers that the general rule seems to be 'Go Woke - Go Broke'.

The SNP Shambles Continues : - the Ferry Scandal and now an Emergency Budget for Scotland !

THE SNP SHAMBLES CONTINUES :- The Ferry Scandal and Now an Emergency Budget for Scotland

The Ferry Scandal - the story refuses to go away

This is a story that the BM Scotland blog has covered before as an example of SNP government mismanagement and once again the ferries contract saga is back in the news.

We are sure that readers of this blog do not need reminding that although £97 million was awarded to FMEL (Ferguson Marine) in 2015 for the two ferries and the contract is now five years behind on delivery - that is no vessels have yet been completed much less delivered to begin services. Cal Mac are now being told that the two ferries will finally begin services to the Hebrides next year but the final cost to the Scottish tax-payer will be around £240 million.

Unfortunately for First Minister Sturgeon and the SNP clique at Holyrood, the ferries contract was revived last month by a BBC Scotland investigation and as a result of serious allegations disclosed, Holyrood has been forced to ask Transport Scotland and the office of the auditor general to investigate and formally report of the ferry contracts.

The contract in 2015 was awarded to Ferguson Marine under the control of financier Jim McColl, who just happened to be an old political ally of former SNP leader Alex Salmond, and had worked as an adviser on the Scottish economy to Scottish ministers in the past.

Unfortunately the audit committee at Holyrood had to remind Nicola Sturgeon that the contract was awarded to Jim McColl even though he had no experience at all in running a ship yard or marine construction projects.

Notice in all their official responses how the SNP  are never at fault ?

Nicola Sturgeon was asked by a Conservative MSP if the ferry contract had been awarded as a 'jobs for the boys'?   Which was of course met with the kind of outraged denial that is the First Minister's trade mark response to any suggestions of mishandling anything. "I completely and utterly refute that suggestion".

Never forget that Nicola Sturgeon trained to be a lawyer, so she always gives a lawyer's answer.

Meanwhile Holyrood has now announced that there is a need to declare an 'Emergency budget review for Scotland' in light of the increasing financial crisis.

Deputy First Minister John Swinney is talking about making £615 million of cuts to government spending, Some opposition MSP's claim that once cut, some services in Scotland will never see that funding again.

The SNP is keen to scrap council tax in Scotland and to replace it with a range of local taxes, much of it will fall on local authorities and councils to create new local taxes. Exactly how those councils are expected to raise revenue is open to suggestions but given the way the SNP manages the Scottish economy generally it could be chaos.

SNP and Sinn Fein - Closer Than Ever - That Should Serve As A Warning.

SNP and Sinn Fein - Closer Ties Than Ever

And That Should Serve As A Warning Across Scotland And The Entire United Kingdom

Pictured above: May 2022, this was how the Daily Record reported on Michelle O'Neil's official visit to meet First Minister Sturgeon in Edinburgh. The two have maintained regular contact and operate as an 'informal alliance' between the two parties.

Beyond the cosy photo-opportunity shots at Bute House is a serious political strategy that plans to see both Sinn Fein and the SNP gain strength from each others gains from pressuring the Westminster government.

SNP First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is proud to stand in solidarity with her Northern Ireland counter part Michelle O'Neil of Sinn Fein. Two female politicians, two female party leaders, and two women who seek to dismantle the United Kingdom and put their names in the history books.

The political chaos at Westminster only serves to strengthen both the SNP and Sinn Fein, every time the Conservative Party appoints a new Prime Minister, First Minister Sturgeon issues a repeat of her demands for Independence Referendum Two and now has the opportunity to negotiate with a Prime Minister who is a firm supporter of the WEF (World Economic Forum). Add to that the imminent demands for a resolution to the political deadlock in Northern Ireland and the push to a return to Stormont where Michelle O'Neil will dominate the political negotiations. For Sinn Fein a united Ireland is always the eventual goal.

Both the SNP and Sinn Fein want to undo Brexit, both want to take their countries back into the European Union; in O'Neil's case that will be achieved by a united Ireland, taking Ulster out of the UK and making the six counties part of the Irish Republic. The SNP under Sturgeon wants to sever the Act of Union and to make Scotland an 'independent' country but also immediately a member state of the European Union subject to EU oversight. (Some independence!)

Of course the SNP agenda and the plans of Sinn Fein plays directly to the globalist/WEF strategy of creating a European super-state, a United States of Europe where all national states are reduced to being subordinate provinces of an EU central government ruling from Brussels. All will use the Euro as currency, all will submit to European legislation as directed by Brussels and Strasbourg, Some independence Nicola!

SNP Annual Conference Polluted Aberdeen - What Promises are Sturgeon and the SNP Making Now?

The SNP Annual Conference Polluted Aberdeen

So What Promises are Sturgeon and the SNP Making Now ?

So According to the SNP Conference Indy Two Referendum will take place in October 2023 - or maybe in the 2024 UK General Election if the UK Supreme Court do not Approve or declares the SNP plan as unconstitutional.

A big problem with the SNP's strategy is that by using the 2024 General Election in Scotland as a measure of support for Scottish independence could undermine the SNP voting base. A recent poll for Scotland on Sunday shows that only 32% of the Scottish electorate approve of that tactic, which obviously includes a lot of otherwise SNP voters.

The SNP are totally focussed on Indy Ref Two to the exclusion of all other policies.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is obsessed to her place in history as the Scottish politician that broke the Act of Union and took Scotland out of the United Kingdom into independence. But should Scotland suffer an uncertain future in the world just to satisfy Nicola Sturgeon's ego?

A clear indication of the First Minister's personal politics was revealed at Aberdeen when she gave an interview to the BBC and declared that she, " I detest the Tories and everything they stand for", followed by, ".... do I think either a Westminster Tory government or a Westminster Labour government is good enough for Scotland, then my answer to that question is no."

So not much room for negotiations there - so what exactly does Nicola Sturgeon want?

" I think we need to see more of a radical alternative from Labour rather than just a pale imitation."

So a political party more Left-wing and radical than the Labour Party at Westminster. Given that the Labour Party across the UK is a mixture of neo-Marxists, internationalists, self-styled democratic-socialists and assorted left-wing 'progressives', that indicates that the SNP wants to see a more Left-wing version of the existing Labour Party. Given that the SNP sees itself as a party of the political Left, the statement above demonstrates how far to the Left the SNP wants to steer politics both across Scotland and in Westminster.

Scotland has been warned - take a good look at the SNP record on governing Alba over the last 15 years, check out the SNP record on managing Scotland's economy, the issues of law and order, the state of NHS Scotland and the SNP record on wasting tax-payer's money on failing projects and the push for 'woke' policies to be enshrined in Scottish laws.

WHAT MATTERS MOST TO THE FIRST MINISTER IS HER PLACE IN HISTORY

Did Anyone See First Minister Sturgeon Getting 'Booed' When She Arrived at Dunfermline City Chambers to Meet King Charles?

That Did Not Suit the Image of Nicola That the SNP Promotes and it Certainly did not Suit the First Minister's Ego.  The First Minister loves a good photo-opportunity and being booed by a section of a loyal pro-monarchy crown did not play to the SNP press office plan.

BM Scotland Looks at More SNP Failings Across September.

BM SCOTLAND LOOKS AT MORE SNP FAILINGS ACROSS SEPTEMBER

SNP Manifesto Pledge on Creating an Energy Company for Scotland That Never Happened

But the SNP Government still spent over £500,000 of taxpayer's money on the development that never came into being. The SNP ploughed money into 'expert' think tanks, economic consultants and hours of preparing a 'business plan'.

The big idea was first floated by the SNP in 2017 when it pledged to have a 'State Owned' not-for-profit energy provider in Scotland, operating by autumn 2021.

A big idea that never got off the ground as money was spent on developing the scale and scope of the venture but without looking at world markets or considering how such a company would be funded, would be able to compete with existing providers and could take over or buy out the existing energy supply network.

Things have changed, some smaller energy suppliers in the UK have gone out of business, most recently and energy supply company that was based in Edinburgh.

The business planning, building the business case, expert opinions a total spend of over £519,000, wasted on a project that never happened.

This was exposed by a Freedom of Information request, otherwise the SNP would have kept this situation hidden from Scottish voters..

STIRLING

In the top ten of the ugliest cities in the UK - Stirling came 7th out of the ten.

What is going wrong?

It is pretty damning when a historic centre such as Stirling is ranked amongst some of the worst cities in the UK. Especially when it falls in with some of the ugliest urban centres in England.

What would William Wallace make of it?
