How Many Languages Were Used to Swear in New MSP's at Holyrood?

The swearing in of new MSP's at Holyrood after the May 2026 elections you would think would be in English, Doric or Gaelic to represent the official languages of Scotland, but no, there were more languages being used to take the oaths of office than ever before.

The 'Scotsman' newspaper reported that;

"Parliament's diversity on show as 14 languages used to swear in new MSPs"

Including Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, Polish, Dutch, French, Mandarin and Shona.

"The ceremony also featured oaths and affirmations in various languages, with multilingual MSPs able to recite the oath in another language after English."

"Yi-Pei Chou Turvey, the newly elected Liberal Democrat MSP for North East Scotland, recited her oath in English, Mandarin, and French."

The journalist at the Scotsman obviously thinks this was a good thing and enthusiastically reported.

"Other languages from all over the world were used too, demonstrating the truly multicultural parliament that has been elected. This included British Sign Language (Karen Adam), Arabic (Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar, Irshad Ahmed and Zen Gani), Dutch (Sanne Dijkstra-Downie), Polish (Kayleigh Kinross-O’Neill), Zimbabwean Shona (Maggie Chapman) and Hindi (Simita Kumar)."

Meanwhile the Peter Murrell - SNP Embezzlement Scandal Drags On

And Nicola Sturgeon continues to duck and dive the questions....

And more than a week later, this is still the case!

In all her media interviews Nicola Sturgeon plays the victim and claims to have been completely in the dark about what her husband, Peter Murrell was doing with SNP funds.

Sturgeon conveniently ignores the facts that she was First Minister of Scotland and leader of the SNP at the time and Peter Murrell was chief executive of the SNP.

Although this terrible crime happened in Southampton, on the south coast of England, the manner of Henry Nowak's death and the way the police treated him must serve as a warning to all the indigenous people of Britain as to what has happened since mass immigration, multiculturalism, Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) and Critical Race Theory took its cultural Marxist grip on our institutions, politics and justice system.

How Many Times Do We Have To Say It?

Many times British Movement Scotland has put out articles on the BM Scotland blog slagging off the SNP as a political party, denouncing the SNP as the leading party of Scotland's devolved government at Holyrood, listing time and again the SNP failings, the failures of SNP ministers, First Ministers and MSP's.

Now finally the former chief executive Peter Murrell has answered to the courts for his part in internal SNP corruption. But why has it taken so long?

Why was this put back until conveniently the May elections had taken place, because the headlines below would have seriously damaged the SNP and cost it even more votes?

News headlines May 25th 2026.

"Former SNP chief executive Peter Murrell in custody after admitting £400,000 embezzlement."

And in the days since;

"Swinney rejects calls for independent inquiry into Murrell SNP embezzlement"

Nicola Sturgeon issued a statement via her lawyers - Why?

Did Nicola Sturgeon not train as a lawyer herself?  So why can't she appear before the cameras and give a personal account of how this situation arose and what she knew, if indeed she 'knew nothing'.

The Daily Record newspapers front cover mocking Nicola Sturgeon as saying "I know nothing" in the style of Manuel from Fawlty Towers was priceless. Long gone are the days when the Scottish news media would fawn all over Nicola Sturgeon and make excuses for her blunders and failures.

First Minister of Scotland, SNP leader John Swinney offers a tired list of excuses and dodges the obvious questions and has rejected calls for an independent inquiry into the scandal.

"First Minister John Swinney has denied trying to sweep a scandal surrounding former SNP chief executive Peter Murrell's "under the carpet".

Also....

"Swinney faced criticism from opposition MSPs after Murrell admitted embezzling more than £400,000 of party funds."

John Swinney says ;

"

We know what the problem was – the problem was criminal behaviour and the police have identified that and the individual involved has been prosecuted."

“You cannot get any inquiry more detailed than a police inquiry, and I think we should all respect the fact there has been a detailed inquiry into all the issues.”

In other words the SNP leadership wants to end the discussion and move on before anything else is brought into the light. But other SNP MSP''s are not happy and want further investigations. Perhaps the SNP might see some internal splits as a result.

Meanwhile one former SNP First Minister, a certain Humza Yusaf has given a highly critical interview to the Scotsman newspaper saying:

"The former first minister said Murrell had ‘hideously betrayed the trust of so many people’ Humza Yousaf has said he hopes Peter Murrell is given a “hefty” sentence after he admitting embezzling £400,000 from the SNP."

Obviously Humza Yousaf has no sense of standing by a former colleague and SNP executive, no doubt a sense of betrayal shared by many others inside the SNP. Perhaps this will be the beginning of a fracturing within the SNP and perhaps Police Scotland will be forced to reveal more details from 'Operation Branchform' that implicates other SNP big-wigs in an even bigger scandal.

After being elected, Duane said: “I know that some will focus on the fact that I am the first black MSP and one of the first openly trans MSPs but that’s not what this election was about.”

Since the elections last week, further revelations have come thick and fast with some concerned news outlets pulling no punches....

"A NEW Green MSP faces a race against time to secure a long-term visa — after the Home Office cast doubt on the chances of serving a full term at Holyrood."

"India-born Q Manivannan was elected last Thursday despite facing possible deportation when their student visa expires later this year.

The trans migrant has applied for a graduate visa, which would last three more years, and hopes to secure longer-term residency under a “Global Talent Visa”.

The academic previously studied in Delhi before moving here in 2021 to undertake a PhD in international relations at the University of St Andrews.

In a statement, Manivannan said: “I am in the process of transitioning to a graduate visa, which will allow me to stay in the UK for a further three years.

“At the same time, I am applying for a Global Talent Visa, recognising my contributions to the country, which will allow me to stay in the UK for my parliamentary term and beyond.”

Is this what the SNP ministers mean by ''New Scots'?

A Scottish Parliament spokesman said: “It is the responsibility of individual candidates and political parties to ensure that all relevant qualifications for standing for election are met.

“There is no role for the Parliament in carrying out checks on candidates who are elected.”

BM SCOTLAND:- After the May 7th Elections - What Now For Scotland?

So the SNP are still the biggest party at Holyrood but with reduced numbers of MSP's.

What can Scotland expect now given the SNP's track record over the last two decades?

More of the same shambles of economic mismanagement with more cultural Marxist policies being imposed on Scotland; more 'Hate crime laws', more gender fluid and identity legislation,  more immigration and settlement of 'New Scots', more 'woke' politics, the enforcement of 'net-zero' energy schemes and destruction of serious industries.

The Scottish Greens and the Liberal Democrats will be eager to collaborate with SNP radicals to turn Scotland into an economic and social basket-case.

Scottish Labour failed to make serious gains and it is widely recognised that the rejection of Keir Starmer and the Labour Party nationally was part of that situation. And of course the Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar has made his own rejection of Keir Starmer clear since mid-February.

The political system across the UK is fracturing and the old party domination of Conservative versus Labour is ending,  It is time for radical change, but change that rejections multiculturalism, 'diversity' and the importation of the surplus population of the Third World into Britain. 

There is no doubt that John Swinney and the SNP will use their party's return to Holyrood and the widespread dislike of  Keir Starmer and Westminster politics as the basis for a campaign to hold yet another referendum on independence and the chance to break away from the United Kingdom.

British Movement Scotland is totally opposed to the SNP and totally opposed to breaking up the Union.

DUMFRIES - An On-going Situation of the State Suppressing Lawful Protests.

During the run up to the May 7th elections there has been a steady stream of information coming out of Dumfries about the suppression of local protests against the presence and activities of asylum seekers/illegal immigrants in Dumfries.

According to some reports, local protest organisers have been warned off by officers from Police Scotland,                              some have been arrested and their bail conditions stipulate that they cannot take part in any kind of anti-immigration or anti-asylum seekers housing protests, others have had bail conditions that even forbid them making anti-migrant statements on social media.

Also there have been reports that people who work for the NHS in the Dumfries area or work for the local council and are known to have taken part in earlier protests against asylum hotels etc. have been threatened with losing their jobs if they are seen taking part in any future protests against asylum accommodation, or any kind of anti-immigration demonstrations in the town.

Is Dumfries taking its political policing ideas and policies from Communist China?

What happened to the rights to free speech and political protest?

Dumfries - school girls carrying rape alarms issued by Police Scotland.

This story broke this week and was noticed that it was being covered by a limited number of news media outlets. Certainly a lot of leftist journalists and pro-SNP outlets ignored it. GB News reported it, as did The Sun, Scottish Daily Express and Daily Mail.

Extracts below of those news outlets honest enough to report on this damning indictment of SNP immigration and citizenship policy.

“Schoolgirls handed rape alarms amid fears hotel migrants are stalking them in Scottish town”

"Males staying at the Mercure Hotel in Dumfries have allegedly been 'leering' at teenage girls with one parent saying children are afraid to walk the streets"

"Teenage girls in a Scottish town have been given rape alarms amid fears they are being stalked by men from a nearby migrant hotel. Parents say schoolgirls in Dumfries are too scared to walk the streets due to unwanted attention from asylum seekers staying at the Mercure."

"The Mercure, which is believed to have been housing single male migrants since 2023……  Police confirmed that one Mercure resident was arrested over "child protection" concerns in February but released without charge. A previous probe in January had not found any evidence of criminality."

And this very telling quote,

“The worried mum said officers should be doing more: "The police need to get a grip on this and start patrolling the town during these times but they won't. We cannot get to a position where the answer to this issue is to give schoolgirls rape alarms and hope they don't get attacked."

The Sun said its reporter witnessed a group of around 15 men congregate outside a school at lunchtime. When the pupils went back to class, they disappeared but a smaller number returned again later in the day when the pupils were leaving school.”

"Outrage has erupted following bombshell news of schoolgirls being given rape alarms by police due to the threat of asylum seekers. The Express reported earlier how the bizarre decision was made in response to chilling claims of asylum seekers from a nearby migrant hotel photographing girls during school breaks. GB News presenter Martin Daubney is among those to have reacted furiously to the disturbing development in Dumfries, Scotland."

"The Express understands officers in the town handed the personal attack alarms to two teenage girls following reports that men housed at the Mercure hotel had been acting suspiciously near the school. A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed enquiries had taken place but said no offences were found to have been committed."

Obviously Police Scotland are concerned enough to hand out free rape alarms to some of the girls, but come across as pretty weak over the statement that, "Police Scotland spokesman confirmed enquiries had taken place but said no offences were found to have been committed."

And the other equally weak, evasive statement, " Police confirmed that one Mercure resident was arrested over "child protection" concerns in February but released without charge. A previous probe in January had not found any evidence of criminality."

No doubt Police Scotland are wary of being criticised at Holyrood by some SNP MSP's for damaging 'community cohesion' by arresting asylum-seekers, those very carefully protected and cherished 'New Scots'.

Scotland must not fall into the same trap as England, parts of Wales and Northern Ireland by turning a blind eye to immigrants committing crimes in the interests of 'race relations' and 'community cohesion.'

Over recent weeks a good deal of information has been leaking out about the dodgy internal goings on inside the Scottish National Party, plus the Scottish Greens have shown that they are just as committed to a multicultural/multi-racial Scotland as the Green Party in England and Wales, and Scottish Labour under Anas Sarwar might not like Sir Keir Starmer but are just as fixated on importing 'New Scots' as the SNP.

IT IS TIME FOR RADICAL CHANGE IN SCOTTISH POLITICS!

In just over a month from now the elections to the Scottish parliament at Holyrood will take place, hopefully the SNP grip on power will be broken, but to be replaced by what?

As we have stated above Scottish Labour are not the answer, the Scottish Greens are not the answer, the Conservative Party are to blame for much of what is wrong across the United Kingdom, Reform UK are basically the Tory Party Mark2 and might upset the current system, BUT are not the solution.

The time has come to build, develop and permanently establish a racially, culturally and ethnically aware political movement across Scotland.

British Movement believes in radical change. British Movement recognises that all the mainstream political parties in Scotland, indeed across Great Britain are beholden to money and wealthy backers and influencers.

British Movement believes that change has to come from within communities, from the streets, from the ordinary folk in the tower blocks and housing schemes, Revolution From Below.

It is time to build a political alternative outside Holyrood, outside Westminster, outside the political mainstream, outside the Trade Unions.

It is time for alternative organisations and structures, time for 'Community Build' projects,  time for Strength Through Joy, time for Revolution From Below!

Immigrant crime is increasing in Scotland especially crimes being committed by immigrants/migrants/asylum-seekers aka 'New Scots' in Glasgow.

But Glasgow City Council and Police Scotland are keeping the details out of the news media.

And, according to Glasgow City Council there are NO asylum hotels in the city - seriously?

And what about that major building fire on Union Street across from Glasgow Central station.

Word is that it was a 'Vape shop' where the fire started and most 'Vape shops' are owned and operated by Asian 'entrepreneurs'.

The mainstream media have reported on the fire but most have been focussed on the impact to trail services and traffic through the city centre, however most have been careful not to explain what caused the fire and some even failed to mention that the fire started in the 'Vape shop' premises.

The fire started in a vape shop on Union Street at about 15:45 on Sunday, with firefighters being called soon afterwards.

"The blaze later engulfed the entire building which occupied the corner of Union Street and Gordon Street, next to Glasgow Central Station, causing it to partially collapse.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said six crews were initially sent to the four-floor building.

Videos posted on X show smoke billowing out of a ground-floor vape shop next to a side entrance to the railway station.

An eyewitness told BBC Scotland News that he tried to tackle the fire at the vape shop but had to abandon the attempt after a series of explosions.

Lamin Kongira said he had been walking past when a shopkeeper ran out shouting "fire, fire".

He said he ran into the shop, where he saw an adapter charging system - full of chargers - under the counter and a small fire."

The eye-witness - Lamin Kongira, that sounds more like a 'New Scot' with that name and all those chargers on charge under the counter - is that even safe?

The Scotsman

At least the Scotsman newspaper was prepared to admit that it was a vape shop.

"The blaze started in a vape shop on Union Street on Sunday afternoon with Union Corner, a B-listed Victorian building, partially collapsing several hours later."

BBC Scotland

"Business owners have said they are "heartbroken" after dozens of retail units burnt to the ground during a fire in Glasgow.

More than 250 firefighters were called in to tackle the blaze that started in a vape shop on Sunday, before it engulfed the entire building on Union Corner next to Central Station.

The B-listed Victorian property was home to many independent businesses that have been left with nowhere to work from after the building collapsed."

BBC Scotland said:

"The closure of Glasgow's Central Station will continue during demolition work until at least Wednesday next week, Network Rail says.

Glasgow City Council teams have started to dismantle the "highly dangerous" remains of the B-listed Union Corner building next door to the station.

The historic building, at the junction of Union Street and Gordon Street, was destroyed in an overnight inferno on Sunday after a fire took hold in a vape shop."

Wonder Where All That Money Will Go?

"On Saturday, First Minister John Swinney announced a financial package worth up to £10m to help the council, businesses and agencies “rebuild and renew” in the aftermath of the devastating blaze. The council will administer the scheme by engaging with local businesses to understand how they have been affected."

Obviously another act of multicultural enrichment for Edinburgh.

The 'Daily Record' reported fairly factually 

"Armed police descended onto Calder Gardens after receiving the alarm at 8.25am on Monday. Paramedics also attended and two people were found injured."

"A man has been arrested after a knife incident in Edinburgh which left two people needing hospital treatment.

Police firearms officers were called to reports of a man with a bladed weapon in the Calders area of the city at 08:25.

A stand-off followed with a suspect later seen looking out the window of an 11th-floor flat for a number of hours but he was removed by police at around 16:00.

Police Scotland said the incident was not being treated as terror-related."

For reasons so far unexplained, the knifeman had trashed the shelves of the local Premier Store, attacked two people in the store and stabbed at least one of them.

The press statements from Police Scotland emphasised early on that people should not put out 'misinformation' about what was happening in Calder Park on social media, but were less than accurate describing a man carrying a 'bladed object' when in fact he was visibly carrying two large knives!

The Edinburgh News was also fairly honest; "Edinburgh Calder incident: Man arrested after major police incident in Calder leaves two injured".

"Armed police have swooped on an Edinburgh neighbourhood this morning following reports of a man wandering the streets with a ‘bladed weapon’."

"Emergency services descended on the Calder area of the city at around 9am, with police having urged the public to stay away from the area."

Notice that reports in the mainstream media and by Police Scotland carefully avoided identifying that knifeman as a 'New Scot' or any indication of his non-white, ethnic background, even though the images clearly showed it.

And right from the start - "Police Scotland said the incident was not being treated as terror-related."

Why so sure right from the start?

"A stand-off followed within the Cobbinshaw House tower block, which eventually came to an end shortly after 3.30pm."

"The suspect was arrested in connection with a "disturbance" and was quietly removed from the building via a back door to avoid the large crowd that had gathered at the front."

The day after he had been arrested the 'official' statements being put out in the mainstream media described this guy as being a 23 year old male - seriously?

Does this guy look 23 years old?

Why is it that Holyrood, the Political Mainstream Parties, the Media and Police Scotland Believe that Social Cohesion, Diversity and Multiculturalism Has to be Defended at All Cost and 'New Scots' must not be Blamed for any Crimes?

BM Scotland has been told by several sources that Glasgow City Council denies that there are any 'asylum-seeker' hotels in the city. But plenty of Glasgow folk know of tower blocks and hotels where there are one of two homeless, white single mums with kids being housed by the city council services, but the rest of the building is full of single 'migrant' men. The council says 'Look there are not just migrants living there so it is not an asylum seeker building'!
