The anti-immigration rally in George Square, Glasgow is drawing the greatest amount of media attention and is the focus for generating hostility from the political Left. Of course some mainstream politicians are jumping on the bandwagon to denounce and smear a rally that seeks to challenge immigration, 'diversity' and multiculturalism.

NOTE: British Movement is not involved in organising these anti-immigration demonstrations but BM Scotland activists may well be present. We might not agree ideologically with those organising the rally, but BM is in agreement with the slogan "Enough is Enough" and BM is totally opposed to immigration and multiculturalism.

Of course newspaper and media headlines like the one below are intended to stir up leftist opposition. Some media outlets are bare faced in their hostility to the rally.

 Across the UK the Far-Left and so-called 'progressives' and liberal social justice warriors have  been emboldened by the election of a Labour government, with a socialist Prime Minister and the added gift of a socialist Home Secretary, with a long record of active opposition to British Nationalism.

The assorted organisations of the political Left, the anti-racism campaigners, BLM and LGBTQ activists, the self-styled anti-fascists and pro-Irish Republicans in Scotland believe that they now have the political freedom to do whatever they feel is necessary to stop those that they are told are the 'Far-Right'.

The anti-immigration rally in central Glasgow on September 7th will bring together all those toxic political elements that champion 'diversity' and multiculturalism.

They are already making clear their intentions:

"The politics of hate and the far right rioters which we’ve seen mobilising across parts of England and the north of Ireland can never be welcome in Scotland."

Susan Aitken said: “Glasgow City Council has received no notification of any rally but then we know Tommy Robinson and his ilk don’t really care about respecting laws or public places.

“He’s not welcome in Glasgow and neither is anyone who chooses to align with his poisonous rhetoric.”

The Scottish Refugee Council also shared information about the event, saying in a post on Twitter/X: “Join us in George Square, Glasgow, on September 7 to unite against racism and show the world that refugees are welcome here in Scotland.”

And more of the Cultural Marxist outpourings and provocation from the extreme Left.

"We can stop the far right and the fascists hoping to grow – but only if we break their confidence before they build. This is why we have called rallies against the far right across cities in Scotland this Saturday and a major anti-fascist and anti-racist counter demonstration in Glasgow on 7 September."

“Glasgow has always been the working class capital of Scotland. We have to be clear that racists are not welcome and are met with a massive response.”

The SUTR counter-protest is backed by the Scottish TUC union federation and the EIS, RMT, PCS, NASUWT, UCU, CWU, FBU, Unite and Unison unions in Scotland.

The mainstream media are obviously taking sides in this situation and the tone of their reporting makes that very clear...

Hundreds of arrests have been made in the last two weeks as a result of the riots that were quelled by a strong police response and counter-protests."

"A Scottish Government spokesman said: “The right to peaceful public assembly and freedom of expression are important rights to uphold, but they should never be used to justify any form of hateful, violent, intimidating or otherwise criminal behaviour. Police Scotland has powers under the Public Order Act 1986 to deal with any disorder arising and to ensure that public safety and order is maintained.”

Of course the leader of the Scottish Labour Party, Anas Sarwar is directly opposed to any type of anti-immigration events

“I’m a son of Glasgow, I was born in Glasgow – Glasgow is my city,” he said.

“I know as a Glaswegian, that we have always had a view – we can’t be complacent, we can’t pretend that there aren’t issues here – but we’ve always been a city that regardless where you come from, regardless of where you were born, when you come here you’re one of us and we’re one Glasgow."

So this son of Pakistani immigrants to Scotland considers that no matter what country you come from, if you settle in Glasgow, you are a Glaswegian. That is not unlike a statement a few years ago by Nicola Sturgeon, at the time she was First Minister of Scotland, and said that not only were 'refugees' and 'asylum seekers' welcome in Scotland, but on day one of their arrival they were Scots!

Both statements by Sarwar, and Sturgeon are a slap in the face to those indigenous Scots who have roots in Alba that go back centuries. Tied to Scotland by Blood and Soil!

Meanwhile....

Humza Yousaf is, as expected, desperate to be quoted in the media and keen to be seen as still being  politically relevant, so has been making press statements and pushing out messages on X (Twitter)  like the one below....

Violence targeting police officers, the public, and mosques, all to drive forward the far-right's hateful ideology. Rhetoric is not enough. We need to take action against the far-right. I have asked the Home Secretary to use her powers to proscribe the English Defence League.

"In a letter to Home Secretary Yvette Cooper on Wednesday, former Scottish first minister Humza Yousaf urged her to proscribe the EDL and its “offshoots” under terrorism legislation, making it illegal to be a member of the groups."

***** Someone should point out to Humza Yousaf that the EDL went out of existence several years ago. But seriously, under terrorism legislation?

BUT - his appeal to Home Secretary Yvette Cooper is a classic Marxist/Communist tactic to declare your political opponents outlawed and ban them from existence.

Drug Deaths - Scotland has the worst levels in Europe - AGAIN!

In 2023 Scotland saw a 12% rise in deaths from drug use, 1,172 Scots died from overdose of illegal narcotics. Official figures show that 80% resulted from the use of opioids, principally heroin and methadone and new street drugs, quoted to be "super strong synthetic opioids like nitazenes."

Time for a real stand against the dealers and pushers poisoning Scotland.

Scot Rail - failing again under SNP policy directives.

Another SNP failure - the legacy of last year's SNP alliance with the Scottish Greens saw peak rail fares abolished to encourage Scots to use the trains instead of their cars. Now the Scottish government are going to reintroduce peak rail fares across Scotland.

Add to that this admission that the Scottish transport secretary Fiona Hyslop has admitted that the Scot Rail peak fare cut had cost the Scottish government £40 million but only resulted in less than a 7% increase in rail use.  Scottish Labour's Alex Rowley commenting on  the SNP transport policies in regard to rail transport said that, "had left Scot Rail services in chaos" with cuts to timetables, shortage of drivers and low uptake of the cut rail fare scheme.

Note: A clear sign of SNP government failure; official UK government data has shown that, "Scotland's climate targets were no longer credible, in part because ministers had failed to prove how they would cut car kilometres by 20% by 2030."

*** Add to that all the crazy policies about ULEZ zones for Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

Shetland - Rocket explosion at the 'UK Space-port'.

The Saxa Vord spaceport on Shetland on Monday August 19th 2024 saw a major technical failure when the site's first rocket test resulted in a huge explosion and fireball on the launch pad.          The Saxa Vord facility is a new UK venture in space technology and the launch site on the island of Unst was licenced and cleared to become operational in December 2023. The authorisation to launch rockets and satellites was granted as recently as April 2024.

A major advance for British technology and Scottish innovation?  Hardly, because the rocket being tested on Monday was built and produced by a German company RFA based at the Rocket Factory Augsburg.

Afghan Student Doctors.

The NHS in Scotland might be in chaos and hospital waiting lists well behind targets and a general shortage of doctors in NHS Scotland but don't worry, the Scottish government in collaboration with the UK government and the government of Pakistan has worked with the charity The Linda Norgrove Foundation to bring 19 women medical students to Scotland from Afghanistan to complete training as doctors. The charity contributed £60,000 towards the cost of bringing the Afghan student doctors to the UK, welcoming them this week as they flew into Edinburgh from Pakistan. The Afghan women have been granted places at four Scottish medical schools, and Scottish ministers changed the law so that these Afghan young women could be treated as Scottish citizens and so eligible for free tuition in Scotland.

The trial of the Palestine Action Scotland for the protest and break in at Thales, Govan in June 2022.

Reported in the Scottish news media but largely ignored in the UK wide media.

"Five pro-Palestine activists who occupied the roof of a factory in Glasgow which supplies the defence industry have been jailed. Stuart Bretherton, Eva Simmons and Calum Lacy, along with Erica Hygate and Sumaya Javaid, all scaled a fence at the Thales plant in Govan and staged a demonstration on its roof. Hygate and Javaid also broke into the factory, damaged equipment meant for submarines and threw smoke bombs into an area used by hundreds of workers, causing it to be evacuated. More than £1m damage was estimated to have been caused at the plant. All were handed sentences ranging between 12-14 months after pleading guilty to breach of the peace. Hygate and Javaid also admitted damaging property. Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that the group had gathered outside the plant early on the morning of 2 June, 2022, dressed in orange overalls and balaclavas. Hygate and Javaid then climbed through a door on the roof and got inside the factory, setting off an internal fire alarm which sparked an evacuation of the premises and confusion and panic among staff. While that evacuation was taking place the pair set off pyrotechnics including smoke bombs. Some were thrown into the area from where the staff were evacuating, causing smoke to pool dangerously close to staff members. Bretherton, Simmons and Lacy remained on the roof, which was surrounded by a number of police officers, until finally coming down at 7:45pm, when they were arrested. Hygate and Javaid remained above through the night, and glued their hands to the rooftop. They were finally removed the following morning by police. Javaid, who continued to be obstructive, was removed in leg restraints. Sheriff John N. McCormick sentenced Bretherton, Simmons and Lacy to 12 months' imprisonment after they each pled guilty to a breach of the peace. Erica Hygate was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment after she pled guilty to a breach of the peace and damaging property. Sumaya Javaid was sentenced to 14 months' imprisonment after she pled guilty to a breach of the peace, damaging property and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner."

REMEMBER: This protest and damage took place more than a year before the Hamas attacks of October 2023. So was not part of the current Gaza crisis protests.

*** Note that Glasgow City Council has announced this week that it will donate £20,000 to a charity operating in Gaza on behalf of Palestinians. More Scottish tax-payers money being spent outside Scotland instead of improving services in Glasgow.

The dreadful mass stabbing of little girls and two adults at a dance class in Southport, a vile act allegedly carried out by the teenage son of immigrants from Rwanda, raised a level of outrage amongst ordinary White working class British folk throughout England, and ignited the tinder box of anger in Northern Ireland about the settlement of illegal immigrants and so-called 'asylum-seekers' in working class communities.

What About Scotland?

Certain left-wing journalists, politicians and political commentators have actually been boasting that the anti-immigration protests, outbreaks of violence and disorder on the streets has not taken place because of different attitudes to immigration and asylum-seekers in Scotland.

Notice how quickly the SNP government has reacted, the First Minister John Swinney has rushed to reassure immigrants in Edinburgh and Glasgow;

"JOHN Swinney and Police Scotland urged calm as they claimed there was “no evidence” widespread violent rioting in England and Belfast would spread to Scotland."

"And the First Minister attempted to reassure Scotland’s Muslim communities, visiting Edinburgh Central Mosque alongside justice secretary Angela Constance.

There he met with Imam Habib Rauf, representatives of the Scottish Refugee Council, the Muslim Council of Scotland and members of the wider Muslim community."

Not to be out done the former First Minister Humza Yousaf  (Useless) has to get in on the act, 

" former First Minister Humza Yousaf publicly questioned whether he sees a life for himself and his family in Scotland, or in the West, in the wake of the riots.

Of course the mainstream media in Scotland have been quick to consult the academics who are supposed 'experts' on Scotland, Scottish social attitudes etc. etc.

“Polling and other kinds of measures show that Scotland has a more positive attitude towards migration, a lower concern about things like small boats - which are naturally more geographically keenly felt on the southern coast of England - and a more positive attitude towards refugees.”

Although Scots are less likely to be concerned about immigration, he says a key issue is that campaigns that focus on “Britishness” do not have the same resonance in Scotland.

"For many people, their principal sense of identity is Scottishness,”

And even more of the same - singing off the multiculturalist hymn sheet...

The latest Scottish census shows 7% of the population is from an ethnic minority, compared to 18% overall in the UK."

Scottish Patriots and British NS activists must be alert to 'False Flag' Communications

There is a lot of false information being circulated on the internet trying to draw racial Nationalist activists out onto the streets to either trap them in staged situations that suit the government, the police and the 'Deep State'. Or by the militant extreme-Left seeking justification for 'anti-racist' protests.

Last week was a classic example for Wednesday August 7th when misinformation declared there could be as many as 160 'anti-immigration' protests across the UK, including activities in Glasgow, Dundee, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. All nonsense.

A false story was put out about a woman being stabbed in Stirling.

One professional 'anti-racism' organisation actually circulated a false story about an acid attack on a Muslim woman in Middlesborough. A lie.

The False Flag information provides an excuse for police crackdowns, censorship of social media, whips up sympathy for ethnic minorities and religious minorities and provides propaganda opportunities for the political Left.

"Following social media speculation about far-right activity in the city, Glasgow Central Mosque said Police Scotland had confirmed there was no intelligence to suggest it would be targeted."

Some of these false information situations are set up to suit the political Left and their allies in the mainstream media - the mass turnout 'anti-racism' demonstration in Glasgow last week was gloating about the hundreds of anti-racists in the city centre but only two counter protestors from the anti-immigration groups. Other mainstream media reports claimed that the large scale anti-racism demonstrations had "chased off 'Far-Right' protestors".

It all suits the multiculturalist, cultural Marxist agenda.

These liberal and left-wing 'progressive' voices have either forgotten or are refusing to remember the stabbings in a Glasgow hotel a couple of years back when an enraged and unstable 'asylum-seeker' went on the rampage stabbing other migrants and staff.

Also they are ignoring protests outside hotels and hostels housing migrants in Erskine and elsewhere, so there are some Scots who resent the Third World invasion of Britain.

There have been some small scale anti-immigration protests in Glasgow, but there again, the mass stabbings took place in Merseyside not Clydeside, but Scots are aware of what happened in Southport and feel the pain.

FINALLY THESE OPINIONS FROM ANAS SARWAR

No surprises to hear this from the leader of the Labour Party in Scotland, Anas Sarwar;

"Mr Sarwar called on social media companies to crack down on the spread of misinformation and "allowing the far right to organise, to recruit, to amplify and in some cases to fundraise."

Asked whether this would infringe on the right to freedom of speech, he said: "I’m all for freedom of speech but there is a responsibility that comes on these platforms too and allowing known mistruths to be spread is not freedom of speech."

Mr Sarwar said Scotland could not be complacent and must send the far right a "strong message to say they are not welcome here".

So Anas Sarwar, the son of Pakistani immigrants, settled in Glasgow, now tells indigenous Scots that those who have British racial Nationalist or British National Socialist ideals that 'they' are not welcome in Scotland!

Police Scotland Are Being Deployed In Belfast.

Meanwhile Police Scotland are preparing to send trained riot police across to Northern Ireland as re-enforcements to PSNI to help control the riots and disorder in Belfast. The first contingent of 120 Police Scotland officers are on their way, others may be sent soon.

If the Holyrood parliament feel that it is OK to send so many Police Scotland officers to Ulster, they must think that there are no crimes to police in Scotland!
