"Edinburgh charity bids to build dedicated Muslim cemetery at Newbattle Abbey."

OK so it says that it is an "Edinburgh charity" but when journalists took a look at the details, look what they found.

"A Scottish charity has launched a bid to create a dedicated Muslim cemetery on land in Midlothian to give families the chance to be buried together for the next 100 years."

"The Edinburgh-based WAFA Foundation has applied for planning permission to create the new cemetery on land lying between the King’s Gate and Lothian Bridge at Newbattle."

See that? They are planning for the next one hundred years! 

That is long term and obviously intend to expand and increase their population in the Central Belt of Scotland.

And there is more......

"A supporting statement lodged with Midlothian planners says it could serve the Lothians’ growing Muslim community for 100 years with an estimated 50 burials a year.."

"In the statement on behalf of applicants WAFA they say the Scottish Muslim Funeral Services which was founded in 2013 has worked extensively with all of the local authorities within Edinburgh and the Lothians to identify and secure suitable plots for burials within the expanding Muslim community. They say over the last few years, it has become increasingly difficult to find readily available plots where people can be interred quickly as is required by their faith."

“The current site at King’s Gate, Newbattle, has been acquired subject to the necessary consents being granted, under the name of the WAFA Foundation who are the charity which will own and operate the new cemetery. 

“Their office is based in The Scottish Muslim Funeral Service’s office in East London Street (Edinburgh).”

"Muslim burials in the UK are governed by Islamic law (Sharia) and must be conducted according to certain requirements including a burial as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours; bodies facing the direction of Mecca, ritual washing and shrouding in white cloth before burial. Cremation is forbidden. The new cemetery will include the erection of funeral building to oversee the burials and car parking facilities."

Just a reminder as to how quickly these things can happen

For years, Edinburgh’s Muslim population has struggled with limited burial provisions, creating distress due to the religious obligation for swift burials. Despite ongoing discussions, existing spaces are rapidly depleting—only 80 plots remain at Ratho Cemetery,

with 200 allocated in Midlothian. Future developments, like Craigmillar Castle Park Cemetery, remain uncertain, leaving families in limbo. Despite progress, the number of dedicated burial sites remains insufficient to meet the needs of the growing Muslim population."

Notice in the report in February 2025 and the reports this week, the same worrying words...... "the expanding Muslim community." and " to meet the needs of the growing Muslim population."

The planned Muslim cemetery in Midlothian is going to take place on a historic Scottish site, a place of heritage and tradition is going to be replaced by an incoming culture.

The mainstream media and the liberal progressives on the Left insist that the 'Great Replacement' isn't real, they say it is just a 'Far-Right conspiracy theory.' Read the information above again - it is real and it is now happening in Scotland.
