as Serco plan to evict over 300 failed asylum-seekers 

The private housing company Serco has announced that it will resume the eviction process it first announced in July 2018.  Serco said, " ...we cannot be expected to provide free housing indefinitely to hundreds of people who have been unsuccessful in their asylum claims and most of whom have no legal right to remain in the UK."

As is to be expected, the political Left and pro-immigration organisations are throwing a tantrum. The Scottish Refugee Council has issued a statement saying,

"For hundreds of men and women in Glasgow this will mean forced eviction from their only source of accommodation and safety in Scotland."

NO...what it actually means is that hundreds of failed asylum-seekers, who have been rejected by the Home Office will no longer have free housing, social security hand-outs and free medical care (at the British tax-payer's expense) and will have to return to their countries of origin.

The free-ride on the gravy-train is over.

What the Left are not saying is that these failed 'asylum-seekers' have exhausted a lengthy and expensive legal process (at tax-payer's expense) and have been refused permission to remain in the United Kingdom. Plus Serco has promised to donate up to £150,000 to homeless charities in Glasgow as soon as the evictions are completed.
