No doubt the Scottish Health Minister Humza Yousaf is not too bothered about a drink at Hogmanay.

SNP Ministers have had the cheek to demand that Scots do not travel over the Border to celebrate the New Year in England. While Scottish venues are dying under the SNP restrictions, the pubs and other venues in Newcastle, Carlisle and elsewhere in Northern England are bracing themselves for extra customers and greater takings.

According to mainstream political sources, Sturgeon has been trying to re-connect Scotland to the European Union by back-door tactics. Unsuccessfully the Scottish government has failed to introduce sections of EU law into Scotland's legal system.

There is just over a week before the start of the Yuletide and the SNP First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is already looking for ways to curb Christmas celebrations in Scotland.

SNP Health Minister Hamza Yousaf (the man with the traditional Scottish name and deep Scottish roots), hand in glove with his leader First Minister Sturgeon and is stoking up the propaganda of 'Project Fear'.

The closer it gets to Christmas the more restrictions they will try to force through.

This is not about health or the Covid virus, it is about cowing and controlling the population.

The Black Bitch pub in Linlithgow - was named after a dog but the race-baiters have pushed the pub owners, Greene King into a name change because it "sounds racist".  Instead of doing some basic research into the history of the tavern, Greene King have made a knee-jerk response to demonstrate some virtue signalling.

Any notion that the people of Linlithgow might be insulted by the move has not been considered. Virtue signalling and 'Woke' credentials are what count.

The Black Bitch was named after a story in local history, a black female dog (a black greyhound bitch) that saved the life of her master, a local man marooned on an island in Linlithgow loch. The story is that the dog swam out to the island carrying food to her master and saved him from starving to death.

If Greene King could be bothered to check - traditionally the native folk of Linlithgow are known as 'Black Bitches' - nothing to do with race, racism or so-called 'people of colour'.

The Black Bitch greyhound is central to the town of Linlithgow's coat of arms and appears on any number of local heraldry badges, school badges, etc.

Amazingly a question has been tabled for debate in the House of Commons and several SNP MP's have actually seen sense and put their names to it. Obviously they realise that this act of 'wokery' will damage the SNP at the polls.

Why did they not check the local history ?   Why not 'fact check' before making an insulting, unnecessary change to a feature of local history and local tradition?

Masquerading as a questionnaire on 'Health and Wellbeing', some of the questions listed and aimed at children under 16 years of age, are concerning involvements in sexual acts that are illegal for a person under 16 years of age.

Marxists have learned by their previous mistakes  not to overtly force-feed their ideologically tainted politics and policies onto the general public, but to drip feed their ideas under the guise of 'progressive' social attitudes.

If the people accept the softer changes then the Cultural Marxists can move on to introduce more extreme policies and engineer social change by stealth.

Negative reactions from some Scottish parents contacting local councils or MSP's about the 'Health and Wellbeing' survey questions is forcing some local authorities to reconsider the strategy. Unfortunately some Left-dominated local authorities seem determined to go ahead with the survey in the interests of 'data collection to shape future policy'.

BM Scotland advises all concerned parents to challenge this undermining of morality and social values. This is degeneracy by the back door.

Another Step Towards Dictatorship: First Minister Sturgeon is prepared to ignore the advice of her own hand-picked scientific advisors to push ahead with new levels of Covid-passport controls and restrictions.

Even Scottish government scientific advisors think that the proposed SNP controls are more about controlling the population than containing the possible spread of new variants of Covid.

As this blog is being written, Nicola Sturgeon is preparing new legislation to control Scotland in the name of preventing the spread of an alleged new variant of Covid-19. Her own scientific advisors are warning her not to adopt the new measures she is putting forward but her need to be seen to be in charge over rides that. Within 48 hours of a supposed new variant of the virus coming out of South Africa, suddenly cases are being reported from Glasgow and Edinburgh. True or not, Nicola Sturgeon has pounced on the opportunity.

The previous restrictions that Holyrood brought in for pubs, clubs, events and football matches failed to work and many venues found ways to get around the 'rules'. Now the people of Scotland are to be forced into a 'passport control' situation because FM Sturgeon is keen to be seen as tougher than the rest of the UK and closer to the strategies of Austria, France and Germany. Sturgeon is forever fixated with impressing the European Union leadership as part of her crazed ideas about splitting Scotland from the Union and becoming an independent member of the EU.

But !   Not enough accommodation in the city to cater for the high level delegates, so the lower level attendees are shunted out to Edinburgh. Meanwhile greedy Airbnb property owners have jacked up their prices to cash in. Ships anchored in the Clyde to house all the auxiliary personnel.

All those climate change delegates are so aware of their carbon footprints that they have travelled across the world by trains, planes and automobiles to tell the rest of us how to respect the planet and act green !

Diesel powered generators have been brought in because there is not enough power at the venue.

The Clydeside expressway is closed to create a security perimeter around the COP26 venue area - the result is traffic chaos around Glasgow, generating even more exhaust fumes and fossil fuel consumption - but the SNP planners did not consider that.

Glasgow transport workers threaten to go on strike during COP26 so the Scottish Labour leader is brought in to sweet talk them into not striking.

Glasgow waste collection crisis - reduced rubbish collections - accumulation of rubbish on streets, massive rise in fly-tipping - huge upsurge in rats in city centre - across Glasgow - two rats for every human resident.

Meanwhile on the COVID front.....

SNP failure policy - in the first week a 40% drop in customers at hospitality venues and at Premier League clubs, the gate security people have been less than enthusiastic in checking passports at the gates. So what is the point?

On top of that the world leaders and official delegates arriving at COP26 are all exempt from presenting Covid passports and only wear face masks for photo-opportunities.
