More Dodgy Dealings by the SNP
Police Scotland are Investigating SNP Fundraising for 'Indy' Campaigns.
Since 2017, the SNP has raised a total of £667,000 for the assorted SNP independence campaigns that the party has promised since the Brexit vote in 2016. Nicola Sturgeon had promised a response to Brexit by pushing forward new campaigns for Scottish independence which would be led by new SNP 'taskforces.' These much hyped campaigns did not really get off the ground, but soaked up over £57,000 from the £667,000 campaign fund. The funds were supposed to be 'ring-fenced' and only to be spent on the 'Indy' campaigns.
So what has happened to the rest of that money?
It seems that a number of high level SNP officials have resigned over the early part of this year in protest over the handling of SNP internal finances. In fact the former SNP treasurer, SNP MP Douglas Chapman, together with colleagues from the SNP finance and audit committee resigned together, stating that there were on going ~blocking attempts to prevent them seeing internal SNP financial information. And they were SNP internal financial officials at the time!
So Ms Sturgeon - would you care to explain what has happened this time? Can the SNP explain itself ?
Oh Yes - and what about that other small matter of money and pay outs connected to when Donald Trump built those golf courses on the East Coast ?
Seems that is something else that First Minister Sturgeon does not want to discuss in public.
