British Movement Scotland looks over the crumbling edifice of the SNP. Is this the beginning of the end of the road for the SNP?

British Movement Scotland looks over the crumbling edifice of the SNP. Is this the beginning of the end of the road for the SNP?

First Minister of Scotland Humza Yousaf making his usual excuses at a press conference in Aberdeen.

Consider recent events.....

SNP accountants and auditors have been appointed but why not a firm of Scottish accountants ?

Last week, the SNP First Minister Humza Yousaf confirmed that finally the SNP have found a new firm of accountants to audit the SNP finances and accounts. The new crew are Signature Tax, part of the AMS Accountants Group, unfortunately this firm is based in Manchester, was there no suitable accountants firm in Scotland prepared to take on the challenge?

The previous SNP auditors were the Scottish company Johnston Carmichael, but they quit the job in September 2022.

SNP determination to push again for an Independence referendum is grinding to a halt and as more pressing issues such as the cost of living crisis, fuel poverty, the dire state of NHS Scotland, and the SNP has no solutions only to talk (again) about Scottish independence.

Such a wee shame, already political pundits and media commentators are taking bets that First Minister Humza Yousaf will not be in post very long, rumours are circulating that he will be gone by the end of the summer.

Meanwhile on the financial front, the Police Scotland investigation into SNP finances continues and the latest word is that now the police are investigating thousands of purchases made on Amazon by SNP purchasers.

The Daily Record claims that "detectives are focussing on an Amazon account used to buy everyday items which could be linked to party funds."

Remember that motorhome which Police Scotland removed from the driveway of Peter Murrell's mother's driveway?

Check out this quote from the Sunday Mail.....

"the £110,000 motorhome seized by police from the driveway of former First Minister’s Nicola Sturgeon’s mother-in-law was purchased from the Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld near Birmingham before being driven 300 miles to Dunfermline by two men in early 2020."

So the SNP couldn't find a dealership in Scotland ?  So the SNP bought the vehicle from a dealership in the middle of England?  Some Scottish Nationalists they are !

Now after local election success across England, the Labour Party is looking North of the Border, and claims that the shambles created by the SNP means that the Labour Party can stage a comeback in Scotland and take seats off the SNP. Does that mean that instead of Humza Yousaf , it would be Anas Sarwar as First Minister of Scotland?  Diversity in action or more of the same.

Much as we enjoy slagging off the SNP, there are many other subjects we need to focus on....

Forget about Law and Order or tackling crime in Scotland - this is more important...

Police Scotland - Over the last week or so orders were issued to 'Shave off beards and moustaches', an disciplinary measure for all uniformed male police officers. Obviously nothing better to focus on......but certain officers will be excused for 'religious or cultural' reasons.        That means White Scottish/British police officers will have to be clean-shaven but any ethnic or religious minority officers will not. Isn't that discrimination?

On the subject of Law and Order - Where was a sense of Justice at the High Court of Glasgow?

A 21 year old man was sentenced to 270 hours of 'Community Service' and 3 years on the sex offenders register for a series of rapes he committed against a 13 year old girl when he was         17 years old!

How is that justice?

Sean Hogg from Hamilton, was 17 years old when between March and June 2013, he raped a 13 year old girl in Dalkeith Country Park, Midlothian. The court was told how he gripped the girl by the wrist while he forced her into sexual acts. But because he is under 25 years old, the court will not sentence him as an adult - if he was over 25 he could expect at least 5 years in prison for those crimes. But the sentencing laws in Scotland for under 25's will not allow this.

And this was not just multiple offences against the girl in the park.

In addition Hogg, 21, is charged sexually assaulting another under-age girl at an address in Penicuik, Midlothian, by touching her buttocks, thigh and breasts and attempting to touch her vagina on various occasions between 1 October and 30 November 2017.

And this guy will be out on the streets doing 'community service'.  The Scottish Sentencing Council needs a major overhaul - this was not justice.

What are the Rail Unions doing?

And the Rail/train strikes continue - just in time for the beginning of the lucrative tourist season. How many jobs across Scotland depend on tourists arriving by train?

And contrary to what the Daily Record might say, BM Scotland does not just operate on-line.
