The SNP - of course our favourite target for criticism.
Obviously the SNP has made a complete mess of running the devolved Scottish government at Holyrood, as well as failing to properly represent Scotland in the House of Commons at Westminster.
Nicola Sturgeon as First Minister was a narcissist and control freak when it came to ruling Holyrood, her status as SNP leader went to her head. She was obsessed with Scottish independence and appointed a number of talentless MSP's to be her 'cabinet team'.
BM Scotland has lost count of the failures by Nicola Sturgeon and she is still subject to the Police Scotland investigation into SNP funds and finances. Plus her husband Peter Murrell, former SNP chief executive is likely to face prosecution although there are strong rumours that Police Scotland have been 'persuaded' to hold off bringing any further charges until after the General Election. There are reports that former SNP MP Angus MacNeil, (expelled from the SNP last year) is intending to stand for election as an independent and has stated that the potential trial of Peter Murrell and further investigations would be a "political hand grenade" that could totally derail the SNP election campaign.
The disastrous ministerial record of Humza Yousaf at Holyrood and his equally disastrous record as SNP leader and First Minister of Scotland is a dark cloud over the recent history of the SNP.
Now the new First Minister John Swinney not only has to lead the SNP into a General Election under the cloud of his predecessor's record of failings, but also his lack of good judgement in defending his friend, the SNP MSP Michael Matheson, in the face of all the revelations about Matheson's alleged fraud over his expenses claims.
Some hostile media outlets are speaking of a "Swinney Slump" for the SNP in the General Election.
The Alba Party - basically Alex Salmond's political vehicle after his split from the SNP and his angry fall out with Nicola Sturgeon and her team. Like the SNP , the Alba Party pursues unrealistic ideas about Scottish independence and splitting up the Union of Great Britain.
The Green Party - the Scottish Greens propped up the SNP at Holyrood, until Humza Yousaf decided he did not need their support anymore.
The Greens pursue unrealistic policies which will cost Scotland thousands of jobs, especially in Aberdeen and other east coast ports and centres involved in oil and off-shore gas exploration and rig maintenance and supply.
The Scottish Greens have also been very keen in supporting all the SNP motivated gender identity legislation, the pro-trans policies and trans/gender identity policies for schools and in education.
The Conservatives: or their full title the Conservative and Unionist Party, at present a minority party at Holyrood and likely to soon be a minority party at Westminster. The Conservatives only positive feature in Scotland is their opposition to the SNP, their campaigns to expose the alleged corruption within the SNP, their persistence in exposing the antics of Humza Yousaf, and now those of Michael Matheson.
Unlikely that the Scottish Conservatives will achieve many Scottish seats in the General Election.
The Scottish Labour Party - still bitter after all these years for their loss of seats and political influence to the SNP. Their leader Anas Sarwar is just a more polished, more astute version of Humza Yousaf. BM Scotland has often warned that in ditching Humza Yousaf in favour of Anas Sarwar, Scottish voters would just swap one second generation Pakistani immigrant political adventurer for another.
Notice that for all his Labour Party posturing about workers' rights and fighting for trade union rights, the Sarwar family business, United Wholesale Scotland, has recently been exposed as paying many of its workers below the minimum wage.
The multi-million pound company, which is run by other family members, not Anas Sarwar, was originally founded by his father, Mohammed Sarwar, a former Labour MP. The UWS company is reputed to be one of the biggest in Scotland with a turnover in 2021 of £274.6 million. Not bad for a Scottish Labour Party leader, but hardly working-class credentials.
Anas Sarwar is in good company with his party boss, Sir Keir Starmer, who is also a millionaire.
Notice that Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer hot-footed it up to Scotland this week to back Scottish Labour and to make all the usual promises. But for all his talk about green/environmental policies and new renewable/net-zero energy for the future, Keir Starmer travelled up here on a private jet!
The Liberal Democrats- likely to remain a minority party for Scotland, both at Holyrood and Westminster. They like to look back on former glories in Scottish politics but are really just 'also rans'. The Lib Dems like to push the 'woke' agenda, especially for LGBT rights, Trans rights and gender identity. The Lib Dems were also keen to support Humza Yousaf's ridiculous Hate Crime (Public Order Scotland) legislation.
It remains to be seen which of the smaller fringe parties and independents put themselves forward as candidates, but the mainstream parties will dominate the national and regional media coverage.
ULEZ - Highway Robbery in a 'Green' (carbon-neutral) Mask.
First it was Glasgow, now it is Dundee and soon Edinburgh; coming to a city near you soon. A nice little revenue stream, taxing motorists, spending local taxes on building cycle lanes, and of course squeezing extra cash out of local businesses.
You can be sure that Scottish Labour as well as the SNP and the Greens will all sing the praises of ULEZ.
But not one of them understands 'Blood and Soil'
