After Over 130 Years or More the Marxist Fantasy Continues to Haunt Glasgow,

After Over 130 Years or More the Marxist Fantasy Continues to Haunt Glasgow.

The Marxists in Glasgow want to resurrect the old 'Red Clyde' of the 1920's and the 1930's, once a stronghold of the Communist Party amongst the working class districts of the city and later a solid base for the Labour Party before thousands of Glaswegian voters defected to supporting the SNP.

Now it seems that the Marxist Left in the city want to return to the past fantasy of the 'Red Clyde' when Communist agitators and Marxist-Leninist demagogues ruled the trade unions on Clyde side and sought to create a 'dictatorship of the proletariat' in the impoverished districts of Glasgow.

Now it is the over-indulged, middle-class 'progressives' of south Glasgow that are seeking to build that egalitarian utopia.

‘We need a revolution in society’: inside Glasgow’s socialist Red Sunday School

Socialist Sunday schools first emerged as a secular alternative to mainstream education. A century later, the Red Sunday School is back teaching anti-capitalist, anti-racist solidarity to kids in the Southside.

The above statement from December 2022 spells out the motivation behind those 'adults'           re-creating the so-called ~"Socialist Sunday schools"  - which had died away in the early 1980's.

The Red Sunday School was launched in 2021 and has already drawn negative media attention in October 2023 by its publication of a magazine supporting Palestine and the struggle in Gaza.

Even the Red Sunday School promotional statements on-line are coloured red.

We are a group of activists, educators, parents, carers and cultural workers who, inspired by the history of the Socialist Sunday School movement, aim to reestablish a similar network of schools. From 1890–1980 Glasgow was one of the heartlands of the Socialist Sunday School movement, which aimed to ‘teach children to think for themselves, feel themselves part of the great community of workers, and supply the Socialist movement with fearless, capable and conscientious thinkers.’ Children took part in the running of the schools, contributed to the curriculum, chaired meetings and recorded minutes and decisions. The Socialist Sunday Schools were a central part of the city’s flourishing socialist culture and trained some of its greatest organisers.

NOTE: The Classic Cultural Marxist language being used here.....

Red Sunday School is a space for children and young people to think for themselves, play with freedom, question the world around them, and change it. Organised on the principles of socialism and solidarity, the School provides tools and resources for the creative exploration of nature, culture and society from a radical perspective, and encourages active participation in the great struggles of our day: anti-racism, the climate crisis, feminism, and the revolutionary transformation of capitalism. Red Sunday School sets out to be an antidote to current mainstream education focused on producing workers ready to compete in the marketplace, regardless of the mental and physical costs to young people.

There are Plenty of 'Progressive' values (Woke) providing motivation for the youngsters being drawn into this organisation.

Our organisation

Red Sunday School is a secular, non-party affiliated organisation. A committee exists to run a monthly socialist school for children, a community meal, a lending library of radical children’s literature, and trips to the countryside. The committee will eventually help form a children’s committee that is able to advise the school.

Although it is a 'Sunday school' the narrative is "secular" - that is non-religious and the narrative is blatantly Leftist.

The SNP is in Visible Decline. Humza Yousaf Struggles to Stay in Control and Scottish Labour Foul Their Own Nest Over Energy.

THE SNP IS IN VISIBLE DECLINE:- HUMZA YOUSAF STRUGGLES TO STAY IN CONTROL AND NOW SCOTTISH LABOUR HAS FOULED THEIR OWN NEST OVER ENERGY POLICY.

There is an unpleasant struggle taking place in Scottish politics right now.

The SNP is struggling to clean up its image in the face of all the revelations coming out of the Covid inquiry about the policy making by former First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and her hand-picked 'gold command' group, and the wholesale destruction and deleting of WhatsApp messages and possibly other records of policy making by the SNP led Scottish government.

Plus the whole scandal around the social media accounts and Michael Matheson's iPad bill payments.

Plus some unsettling revelations about members of Humza Yousaf's extended family and links to certain Islamist factions. Plus Humza Yousaf's recent surprise 'holiday' to Qatar.

No wonder that there are rumours circulating Holyrood that within the SNP there are factions that want to remove Humza Yousaf as leader and replace him with someone who can stop the rapid decline in support for the SNP and restore trust in the party.

Scottish Labour has recently held its best attended and most successful party conference for years and Anas Sarwar, the leader of the Labour Party in Scotland senses a change on the way. After years of playing second fiddle to  the SNP, Scottish Labour thinks that it can regain its past dominance of Scottish politics, the dominance taken from the Labour Party by the SNP.

But, Anas Sarwar has managed to upset the executives of the major oil, gas and off-shore engineering industry after his recent visits to Aberdeen.

Scottish Labour is keen to prise away the Scottish Greens from supporting the SNP and so Sarwar is trying to make all kinds of noises that suggest that a future Labour leadership of the Scottish government will carry out a lot of eco-friendly policies and push for net-zero on carbon emissions, create 'Green jobs' etc etc.

In order to help present this posturing, some weeks ago Anas Sarwar, together with Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer and the Labour Party shadow energy geek Ed Milliband went to Aberdeen to meet with oil and gas sector executives to present the Labour Party future plans to move away from North Sea oil and gas, but with plans to invest instead in low-carbon energy projects.

Then at the Scottish Labour annual conference Anas Sarwar gave a long speech about future plans to counter the high cost of energy, to counter the cost of living crisis and how in Scotland a future Labour led Scottish government would put a massive windfall tax on the oil and gas companies. This has gone down very badly with company heads in Aberdeen and statements from 800 oil, gas and engineering executives have warned that Sarwar's Scottish Labour strategy would cost as many as 100,000 North Sea jobs.

As BM Scotland has said many times before : Scottish voters need to be careful what they wish for because if the SNP collapses at the next general election to be replaced by Scottish Labour, then instead of Humza Yousaf (son of Asian immigrants) then Scotland would be led by Anas Sarwar (son of Asian immigrants).  Are there no real Scots out there to lead Scotland?

Meanwhile, First Minister Humza Yousaf continues to play at being an international statesman, meeting up with foreign heads of state and foreign diplomats. Even though he has been previously warned by the Foreign Office that he does not have the authority to do so without the presence of the Foreign Minister or civil servants from the Foreign Office being present.

30% Increase in the Retail Price of Alcohol Sold in Scotland - Who Benefits?

Most commentators agree that the price increase will hit consumers but the biggest share of the price increase will go into the pockets of the retailers, especially the big supermarket chains.

The 'Soros Plan'

This Will Impact On Scotland  - especially if Humza Yousaf gets his way on importing thousands of Palestinians to Scotland.
