Sturgeon Claims That the Scottish Government Has A 'Democratic' Mandate To Hold An Independence Vote - Indy ref Two.
In a fresh bout of self-delusion and a distortion of the reality at Holyrood, in a speech in Edinburgh, SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon claims that her government has a 'democratic mandate' to demand a second independence vote for Scotland.
This ignores all those in Scottish electorate who do not support the SNP and do not want independence from the Union of the United Kingdom.
In the words of the First Minister to create a "wealthier and fairer Scotland" - given that the SNP have now been in charge of Scottish politics and Scotland's economy for almost a decade why has this not been done already?
Yet in making these statement the SNP are ignoring the latest opinion polls in Scotland which make it clear that the electorate in Scotland is "split down the middle on the question of independence".
And that is not a clear mandate Nicola !
